Lifeboat crews are dedicated to saving lives but in tonight’s episode, we see that despite best efforts, tragedy is sometimes unavoidable. At 4.50am, after responding to a mayday for a small boat crossing in the English Channel, the Dover RNLI lifeboat crew is returning to station with 68 casualties on board. Suddenly the crew are alerted to a new tasking: another vessel has capsized, and over twenty people are now fighting for their lives in the water.
